Rock Maple Flooring

Reclaimed rock maple comes in grey and worn, then planes down to something you cannot buy new. Reclaimed rock maple comes in several figures, including disfigured, spotted and birdseye boards as well as heavily figured boards, and this kind of figure is not something you can buy as new lumber. The unusual range includes disfigured maple, spotted maple, birdseye maple, and heavily figured maple with figure running through it. This type of wood is not produced anymore, so it only comes out of buildings that are already standing or already gone. It is used for flooring, walls and counters in high end retail and commercial spaces, table tops, and cutting boards. This is the same reclaimed maple the custom cutting board in the Gallery is made from.
