Featured project

An 1809 wall, rehung in Quincy.

This penthouse suite in a high-end condominium residence in Quincy, Massachusetts, started with 1809 chestnut, wormy chestnut and pine reclaimed from the floors and walls of the original 1809 Toy Factory building in Winchendon, Massachusetts. Sam hand-picked the boards to the client's specifications, remilled them at the shop, and brought the finished material up three flights of stairs. It was installed in the penthouse hallways and great room, with custom molding around every doorway and a box beam in the hallway.

“Sam is passionate about old, reclaimed wood. I purchased boards from him that were from an 1809 toy factory in Winchendon. They were a beautiful match to the old wood partially covering my cottage bedroom floors. If you are looking for old wood, he's your man!”

Kara LaBelle — Google review

“I had a great experience with Toy Town Vintage Salvage! They had some beautiful reclaimed pine and I just wanted some slabs but they helped me build a coffee table and some shelves. Beautiful wood!”

“Needed some old growth lumber for a 106 year old craftsman. The guys here know what they are doing. Found some beautiful lumber that I’m excited to install. The only issue I have not being able to give them more than 5 stars!”

“Sammy is extremely responsible and hard worker!”

“Sammy has done jobs for me in the past. Just recently, I had damage to the floor boards in my 120 year old house (which happens to be vertical grain heart pine) and he was able to remove and replace with the exact match that he custom made. I would highly recommend Sammy!!”
